Our Programmes
Aflatoun
Aflatoun is an internationally coordinated social and financial educational programme for children between 6 and 14 years of age. Via interactive learning models, including child rights and responsibilities, saving, spending, planning, budgeting, and enterprise, children are empowered to become agents of change in their own lives and communities.
Aflateen is an internationally coordinated social and financial educational program for young people between 15 and 18 years of age. Using an interactive and ICT-based platform, young people are supported in becoming agents of change in their social-cultural, environmental, and economic worlds- adopting the ‘People, Planet and Profit’ model.
Through social media and a website, young people are able to communicate and share ideas with other young people all over the world. In this process, ACDT works with other actors, including the Ministry of Education, schools and non-formal centres, parents and the community, as well as financial institutions.
The World Starts With Me
It is a Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights curriculum developed by Rutgers (WFP), targeted at young people between 12 and 19 years of age. Using an interactive and innovative ICT-based platform, young people develop an understanding of SRH, their rights, and invaluable life skills during adolescent development.
CRiSIP
The Child Rights in School Improvement Project is a community-driven effort to improve the development and livelihoods of children in and around the immediate school environment. Despite the universal primary education policies, there are still many children who do not go to school, and dropout rates remain high. This is compounded by high levels of poverty, disease, exploitation, and gender inequality.
